I marvel at the many daily items that are operated by remote controls. Do you realize though, that remotes create distance, they eliminate touch, for all of their convenience they are just one more modern device that separates us from each other. Imagine life controlled by a remote, like that movie, Click. I never saw it however I can't believe it would be a better life with stop action, slow motion, and fast forward. I would rather have a magic wand than a remote control. I would like to wave a wand and have my house spic and span, dinner cooked with fresh ingredients, laundry folded and put away, and the cat box cleaned. Yes, as far as remotes go, I'll stick to the one that works my TV.
