Mellow Yellow

Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid.
~Jules Feiffer

Have you ever noticed how many things are yellow? Today, I focused on the color yellow and was amazed at how many shades I actually found. I noticed the usual items, like the fire hydrants, the bottle of mustard in the fridge, and the yellow traffic light that I sped through. But what about that pile of caution tape lying by the side of the road, the yellow fronds on an old palm tree, and the protective thingies that they put on the cables holding the telephone poles up? After awhile I was noticing yellow out o the corner of my eye, it jumped out at me from unexpected places. These same things were there yesterday but I took no notice. So did my experiment leave me feeling more creative? No, just more saturated in yellow!
